Away Koh Kood, Koh Kood Nice and quiet hotel. The room (duplex) is big enough to allow 4 persons to sleep but it is not well adapted for small children as the stairs to reach the upper beds are dangerous. The negative points of this hotel are that there is no direct access to the beach : you need to use a Kayak which can limit the access (although the staff in charge was very kind and helpful). And it is a little bit far from any other restaurants so, if you don t have your own transportation and if you have small children, for dinner, you have no other choice but to eat at the hotel s restaurant which may not be the best in the area.

Away Resort, Koh Kood Vi bokade två nätter i deras sk. tält och lade till en extra natt på plats. Det var rent och fräscht överallt på hela resorten. Vänlig och bra personal. Maten som serveras på deras restaurang är toppen. Pröva deras Mixed fruit shake så blir Ni inte besviken. Utsikten är härlig och man känner att man är i paradiset på Away Resort.När man bokar tältet så får man även djungelns ljud och deras invånare nära inpå en. Riktigt mysigt men öronproppar kan behövas ibland. Vi hade inga problem med djur men granntältet fick in en mus en kväll. Personalen var snabbt på plats med katt och stege för att fixa till problemet.Ett minus är att vattnet utanför bryggan ändras med tidvattnet (beror nog på vilken månad det är också)och strömmarna blir riktigt starka. Detta var inget som de varnade för- vilket de borde då vi en dag fick problem då man måste simma ut en bit för att nå en närliggande ö och resortens strand. Därför skriver jag in det som en kommentar här så kanske det finns en chans att folk ser det.Kan inget annat än varmt rekommendera stället!Great resort with great service.Friendly staff, fantastic food and the surroundings like a paradise.Nice, clean Islandteants with the feeling of beeing in the djungle- camping! Really nice!Pay attention to the currents that are really strong.

Away Resort, Koh Kood Possitiv: Very nice hotel. Friendly stuff. Good breakfast buffet. No or not many Russians !!!! Negativ: Food at the Restaurant is overpriced. Better (Thai-)food at half price a few minutes to walk or 1 minute by motobike. Room have nice view but,if no special rate, also overpriced.

Away Resort, Koh Kood The hotel was really good. Nice, clean, fantastic staff. The personnel in the activity Center is the most wonderful personalities I´ll ever met. I would recommend this hotel for those who want to relax or go for water acticities. Rent a motorbike and go to the Fishing Village. And ask the staff about restaurant options if you don´t want to eat at the hotel every day. There are more restaurants on the island. There are no shopping at all on the island, only lovely beaches and nature. Don´t forget to bring the mosquito spray. My family with 2 teenagers really enjoyed our stay for 4 nights.

Away Resort, Koh Kood Excellent location so peaceful and clean. We were happy to have stayed here. The seaview duluxe room was really nice with great views of the quiet beach. I would definately recommend this place. The breakfast too was very good with lots of choice. The staff were also friendly and helpful. The only downfall is the tax that is added on top of the food bills......but hey its a hotel and it was cheap compared to UK anyway

Away Resort, Koh Kood Quite nice hotel but not enough for European travellers. Hotwater and A/Cwere not on during daytime in the villas and the interior furnishing in therooms was very poor, i.e. few electrical plugs in the room, no mirror in thebathroom (no electrical plugs there either), poor lightning in the room(impossible to read in the bed) and no refrigerator as confirmed by theagent. Nice restaurant and decent international breakfast, but far tooexpensive menues at dinnertime. Lovely garden and surroundings. Incomparison to a similar hotel on Koh Chang or Koh Maak not worth the money.
Their poor English led unfortunately to quite a few misunderstandings

Away Resort, Koh Kood Great overall impression. Very nice bungalows / tents and service. Food could be a bit better resp. more authentic thai. It was a bit westernized.
